History

  • A 9 months dog was presented to our clinic in Moscow state academy of Veterinary medicine, Surgery department with lifting limb lameness.
  • History of traumatic fall

Orthopedic examination reveals

  • Hyperesthesia of the right forelimb at the antebrachial region with crepitating sound when manipulating the radius bone

Radiographic Examination reveals

  • Short oblique diaphyseal radius fracture near to the distal joint

Recommendations

  • Surgical internal fixation of the fracture by the use of  a bone plate

Postoperative Care

  1. Bandage is important for one week after operation
  2. Antibiotics, NSAIDs for 2 weeks after operation
